At the turn of the last century the leadership in the body of Christ wrote
books, and preached at conferences and held church services like they
do today. They also preached the Gospel in the streets and in public
places to sinners that were not saved. Spurgeon at his pastors college
trained his students to preach in the streets as one of there duties as
pastors. D.L. Moody was a regular preaching on street corners when the
crowds were thick enough. The Salvation Army had many veteran street
preachers and this was one of there main ministries in there first years.
Many think it was John Wesley, and George Whitefield that the Lord used
to restore this ministry, but the truth is the Protestant Reformation from
its infancy preached the Gospel from the roof tops. John Bunyan the
author of 'Pilgrims Progress' preached in the streets. Frank Bartleman
one of the main leaders of the famous Azusa Street Revival preached
the Gospel in the streets weekly..For those that think that some of the
preaching on this web-site is to harsh for sinners you might pray about
reading Bartleman's book that he wrote called 'Azusa Street.' No doubt
Bartleman is one of the fathers of the Spirit filled churches of today and
his book wood clear the air on this subject and also on the condition of
the church today!!

Dealing with the police
Obstacles are to be expected in street ministry..
I'm going to try to keep this as short as possible.
There's a lot of teachings out there for
Christians to learn how to share the Faith,
what to say, answers for the tough questions,
etc. What were really missing is the info on how
to deal with the obstacles that can wear you
down and take the fun out of this ministry.
The two biggest issues out there are the police,
(security guards) and hard-core hecklers. This
ministry is a blast and I love it, but the truth is if
you don't learn how to handle these two things
you will look for a different ministry in time..They
will wear you out and take your passion away.
I didn't invent this ministry, it was taught to me
by others and books that I have read. I don't
claim to be an expert I'm still learning myself. We
should all be teachable! This Fall marks my 14th
year as a Christian and I know there are brothers
and sister's in Christ out there that have years
on me in this ministry.. I'm very grateful to be
apart of the street preaching movement!!
From e-mails that I get and through checking out
other street preacher's web-site's I can see that
there's ministries out there that are having a
hard time with the police. The Baptist Street
Preachers out there own every city that they
target! They have been preaching for decades
and they are one of the oldest groups in this
ministry.
The Baptist Street Preachers don't have police
problems; the police have Baptist preacher
problems!! Before they target a event weather
it's the Super Bowl or Mardi Gras there lawyers
contact the local police station in the area that
there going to hit and inform them of what there
plans are. It's that simple!
As you long as you are on public property your
legal. It's illegal for them to stop you from
preaching or handing out Gospel tracts! If they
stop you they are breaking the law! The Baptist
group that I'm referring to has one many law
suits and have won a lot of money in the
process. Of course it's not about money, but the
key here is that anyone that tries to shut you
down runs the risk of being sued. One of my
Baptist friends tells the cop thats harassing him
that if he or she breaks the law by stopping him
from preaching that he will sue them personally.
Because he records the conversation with a
video camera and gets the officers badge
number its very effective! It works...
This brings up another point it's important that
you know for sure that your on public property. If
its private property your in trouble! I'm not trying
to be disrespectful when I say this but the truth
is police officers will lie and tell you anything to
get you to leave. Thats the truth and if your not
prepared you will have wasted your day or road
trip for nothing!
The police force sees you as disturbing the
peace, causing unnecessary problems and it's
there job to keep the peace so we don't want to
make them out to be the bad guys. The facts are
recorded in scripture in the book of Acts that
when a evangelism team hits the streets there
will be problems. Open-air preachers stir the pot,
they create controversy.
When we hit certain area's in Houston with signs
the police station gets flooded with phone calls
with folks complaining. The corner can get
heated up at times and the police don't see this
as a blessing to the community. In bible times
and church history when a evangelism team hits
the streets it creates problems. Jesus shook
Jerusalem to the core! It is what it is..There was
no greater street preacher than the Master and
He stirred the pot big time!!
1. Contact a lawyer this will give you the
confidence that you need to be bold when talking
to the cops. Weakness invites attack when it
comes to hecklers and if you don't talk with
authority with the police they will send you
home...
2. Make sure your on public property.
3. Bring a good video camera and record your
conversation with the officer and ask for name
and badge number. This is what I was taught by
other evangelists and my attorney told me the
same thing. Make sure that the officer knows
that your using the video camera, make it
obvious! Same with hecklers let them see you
using your video camera. Having a video camera
is huge! It keeps folks accountable. There was a
street preacher that was almost in hand cuffs
one time because some hecklers told the police
some lies. When the preacher showed the
officer the video footage the hecklers went to
jail!
4. Stand your ground! I had a police officer one
time tell me that if his supervisor came out that I
ran the risk of going to jail. I was recording the
conversation with a video camera and politely
told him that I would gladly talk with his
supervisor. About 45 minutes later his boss
showed up in another car. When he approached
me he said sir your not breaking any laws please
stay out of the road. I responded with a 'yes sir'
and thanked him for serving our community.
There was 2 other friends with me watching to
see how the whole ordeal was going to pan out.
Another time I had one officer threaten to write
me a citation if I didn't leave and I would have to
appear in court. I told him no problem I would
gladly go to court. I was very respectful and at
the same time firm with him.
As he was in his car another police car pulled up
and this officer was telling me that I should just
leave before I ended up in jail. I recorded both
conversations.. As I was talking with the second
officer the first came back informing me that his
supervisor told them to let me proceed with my
ministry. I thanked them and they left, but the
whole ordeal lasted a half an hour.
One time 2 cop cars pulled up on me and my
brother while ministering and they were rude and
totally walking all over our rights as Americans to
preach the Gospel. As this was happening Mike
pulled out his video camera and started
recording what was happening. Immediately they
were smiling and polite! There whole attitude
changed with in a few minutes they were in there
cars and gone! This works!!
Some officers will allow there egos to kick in.
There not used to this for the most part and I
always inform them that I have been doing this
for a long time and I know what my rights are. If
you inform them that you have a lawyer and you
know your rights and its illegal for them to stop
you its a check mate for you. They might bluff
with you but ultimately the commanding officer
will let you proceed if you hang in there.
5. Be polite. It's in your best interest to make
friends with the police force when ever possible!!
Remember they risk there lives daily for us they
deserve respect!
6. Have phone numbers of friends in your wallet
in case you do go to jail.. Be prepared! My lawyer
told me if at all possible stay out of jail and let
them send in warning letters informing the city of
a law suit if they continue to shut me down.
7. Make sure your vehicle isn't parked on private
property; ex especially if its the peoples parking
lot that is calling the cops. I had one officer one
time call a tow truck for my Jeep..Thank God for
the 3 senior Christian women yelling at the police
to leave the Christians alone. Were God guides
He provides!
8. Train your self to look for the Lord's provision
when things start looking rough! If God has
called you into this ministry He will grant you
victory!!
9. Keep your cool! You can ruin your reputation
if you don't handle things right. Try to program
your self to how you will respond to
circumstances before they happen so when they
do happen your response will be instinctive.
10. When your dealing with the cops don't let
there pressure get to you. Its there number one
goal is to scare you..Stand your ground! Stay
calm..Trust the Lord!!
11. Don't fall for the you need a permit trick
either! Even when you target a event were
others did get a permit as long as the public is
invited and your on public property your legal..
Sometimes certain parades will anticipate
street-preachers and they will section off an
area for you. In that situation you have to follow
there rules.
12. If an officer tells you that you need a permit
explain to him your rights as a American to
practice freedom of speech with out a permit. Me
and a friend one time were ministering on a
street corner and there was a shift change with
the police officers and because we were planning
on leaving at 4:00 my friend reminded me of
what time it was. The officer assumed that our
permit was up at that time, and because his
sergeant had been out helping with hecklers at
the shift he figured we had a permit. I politely
explained to him that his sergeant was well
aware that we didn't have a permit and that we
didn't need one. (Don't count on police
protection it's not the norm.)
13. I'm trying to keep this short I could write on
and on.. If you don't get good at this security
guards, bouncers, business owners, will shut
you down. They will tell you your on private
property when your standing on public property
I went through this at Minute Maid park here in
Houston.
14. You can check with the city to find out whats
public property and whats private. I can usually
tell by looking at things, but by all means don't
ask if your on public or private property. Do
some home work before you get there.
Sidewalks and public parks are freedom of
speech zones.
15. 1st Amendment - Congress shall make no law
respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging
the freedom of speech, or of the press...
16. Your rights to freedom of religion are
stronger even over freedom of speech! You
don't need a permit or permission to share the
Gospel! I have a friend back home that has won
a lot of battles standing on freedom of religion!
17. For the pastor that wants to use Romans 13
as a argument for my position on this subject my
response will be of simple hermeneutics.. First I
agree that we need to honor and respect all
governing officials. As Christians we should
honor everyone!! Remember it was the apostle
Paul that wrote the epistle of Romans and there
wasn't to many people in the Bible that stirred
the pot more than him! When the Sanhedrin told
Peter and John to stop preaching the Gospel
they told them that they would obey God not
man!

Philippians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Paul wrote this letter in jail. Paul totally lived
life on the edge of death. Study the life of this apostle; he was reckless he started riots were ever he
went. When Peter and John were beaten for preaching the Gospel they counted it a blessing and they
rejoiced! There was a time when John Wesley went 3 days with out receiving any persecution and while
he was riding his horse he was broken before the Lord searching his heart for any sin that might be in his
life that would stop the persecution that he figured should mark his life. He climbed off his horse and
began to pray and someone from a distance yelled out "hey are you one of those followers of John
Wesley?" John responded with a yes I am, and the man threw a rock and hit him in the head and the blood
flowed. John couldn't have been happier! He jumped back on his horse and headed into the next town to
preach. John from his youth was a student of the Bible and he knew that from Genesis to Revelation that
when the Lord commissioned some one to open air preaching that there would be a price to pay.
Another point here. John Wesley was not a big man! His heart was larger than life but the truth is he was a
and skinny man.
I remember during the Olympics in Salt Lake City in 2002 helping Larry Craft one night handling hecklers and
holding his banner. It took everything in me. I was watching Larry preach to tens of thousands of people
that were getting drunk and he was preaching like John the Baptist. I didn't think me or Larry or my brother
had any chance of survival. Larry is a veteran street preacher and I wish I was just half the evangelist of
this man of God! I have seen video clips of him preaching open air at outlaw biker rallies with banner in
hand and his daughter by his side like he was in a church service. Larry was on Beale St one time
preaching to the crowds and drunks and a football player asked him if he could hold his banner. Larry told
him no and the man picked him up and carried him down the street with Larry holding his banner. Larry
is not a big man. He's been caught on fire and jailed numerous times.. I'm keeping this short, Larry is
100 percent ready to die for the Lord! He does this kind of stuff weekly.
William Booth the founder of the Salvation Army had 2 daughters that were reckless in the streets when
they preached. They were dead game for the Lord! There was grown men that were afraid of hanging out
with them. They called Kate 'the marshal'. One service they had a rented hall and threw invitations they
filled the hall full of drunks and street people and gang members. They lost control of the crowd and they
started throwing bottles and getting violent. The team came to the conclusion that they had better get out
of there before it was to late, but Kate refused to stop preaching and her mom had to drag her out. When
they got to the door they pulled knifes on them and Cathrine Booth, William's wife pushed them out of the
way. Jesus freaks! Eager to die for the Master!! You can't work this up. Your either ready to die for the Lord
or your not! Bravery can fail you! It is what it is! Me and brother Luis were driving into the heart of a
homosexual community one time to hold signs about what the Bible teaches on the subject. He asked me
why I keep a discharged bullet in my change holder and I told him it reminds me that any trip could be my
last trip out and I need my thinking straight. To die is gain!
There was a season for the Salvation Army when the violence towards them was so heavy that General
Booth held back the Lord's Army. Martyrs, jailing's, the whole city was in a up-roar. William wasn't safe
walking down the street. (America how far we have fallen from real Christianity!) After a month or so the
Army was chomping at the bit ready to march and preach! When William released his first platoon to march
against the street gangs that were getting paid by bar owners to beat up anyone wearing a Salvation Army
uniform he put Captain Ada in charge of this group. He put a women in charge? Captain Ada was a veteran
street preacher eager to die for her Lord. The Salvation Army wouldn't have been if it wasn't for Cathrine
Booth. She was raised in the non-conformist churches of her time's and she had heard the stories of
Wesley, John Bunyan, Luther, Calvin, Tyndale, etc. William said it regularly "some of my best men are
women."
A mans ego can be a hindrance. What will people think of me if I can't handle this situation? The facts are
that in many places your life is totally in the hands of the group that your targeting. All the Karate and
boxing will not give you the authority that you need. True authority comes from a healthy willingness to
die for the Lord. When your in a bad situation and in the back of your head your praying Lord let them take
me out I'm ready to come home. Then you will have the authority that you need.
If I was counting on my abilities and talents to be able to handle every situation when driving into a days
ministry I would be a nervous wreck! What free's me up is I take the pressure off of myself! So what if I
look like a fool, so what If everyone starts laughing at me, If I look nervous so what its not about me. The
truth is I still fight fear regularly! There is always someone out there thats more talented than you! The
truth is I can't handle everything, I make mistakes, I just do my best.. Deflate your ego.. You will be
humbled in this ministry and if your motives are not right you will stop. All the hero's of the faith had very
humbling experiences. If you go into this ministry for a prop in life you will not last long. Your motives have
to be right.
Is there not a cause! This exactly what God is raising up right now in America, old school street preaching!
Note: If you go out and tell sinners that God love's them just the way they are you will be safe just like the
false prophet's in the Bible! It's only dangerous if you tell them the truth!

The real deal...
Sin Stifled
Sin is done in darkness both spiritual and, many times, literal. When
someone shines a spotlight on the activities of sin, the rats tend to
run and hide.
I know from many years of experience on the street, that sin can be
hampered, stifled, kept in its hiding place, and at a bare minimum, if
the light of the glorious gospel of Christ is consistently shined on the
public streets.
Many Pastors have complained to us about the spiritually cold
conditions of their cities, and that the blatantcy of sin is so prevalent.
My reply, drawing from experiences pastoring a church with a street
ministry, is that we preachers have been given charge of the spiritual
heaters and lights. We will be held responsible for the amount of
spiritual warmth and visibility in our communities.
I have seen many bars closed as a result of consistent public witness

targeting the clinic, the Spirit of God filled the Jeep.. I
didn't for-see this ministry getting involved with this
issue..

problem..The cool part is were God guides, He
provides! It will be fun to see the hand of God in this.. I

bull-horn I want them to know why I'm doing this! This is what I would preach on, "Currently
in America the bars are full and the churches are empty, we have reduced our women into
becoming sex objects and our kids are no longer being taught the Bible at home. 1 in 4 girls
are molested by the men that are so post to be protecting them, because pornography has
corrupted there minds and changed them from being men, to perverts.. (That's strong
language? Ya! Thats what it takes some time's to remove there pride and get them to think
every thing threw! Back to the preaching..) In the same way cocaine turns people into drug
addicts, pornography reduces men into perverts! (trust me they can handle this) Currently
the sex trade is destroying the lives of countless young girls that have no father figure at
home to show them a better way.. Human trafficking in Houston is big business with no
conscience what so ever, and it can care less how many lives are being destroyed! Make no
mistake you can't live wrong and die right (By now I'm covered by the Holy Ghost and can
deeply feel the Lord's deep concern for our condition as a Nation and the passion to preach
is increasing!!) Go a head drink another beer, cheat on your wife by lusting after another
women (now I'm targeting there conscience! Conscience means "with knowledge")
Jesus taught that if you look at a women to lust after her you have committed adultery! Jesus
also said it would be better for you to pluck out you eye ball and go to Heaven than to part
Hell wide open with 2 eyes! God is good, and He excepts you to be good to! The Bible
teaches that today is the day of salvation.. God doesn't promise you tomorrow!! Is your soul
right with God?? Think about it my friend!! The Lord gave you the most incredible gift, in that
you will live forever!! God wants you in Heaven, but if you live like the devil you will spend
eternity in Hell! God delivered me from drugs and alcohol and He can do the same for you..
Jesus Christ died on the cross for you because He is more concerned about your future than
your past! It was my sins that put Him on the cross!! The Romans didn't put Him on the cross
you did! Pontius Pilate didn't put Him on the cross my drug problem did! It was the love of
God that kept Jesus on the cross , not the nails.. The Jews didn't crucify the Lord, the sins of
the world did, etc.
2. Mature Christians and pastors can see the big picture of what sin can do to a persons life.
Sin will destroy you in time, and currently sin is destroying our Nation..In the same way a
loving parent informs there kids that bad choice's brings bad consequences, a good street
preacher will want there audience to fully understand also..Smart pastors inform there sheep!
I have been in some churches in the Houston area that can preach the shoe polish off your
dress shoes! Jesus did!! Love tells the truth..I'm not talking about being mean spirited..
3. What about the promises of God? What about the grace of God? These are both biblical!!
Even the hero's of the Faith made mistakes! Noah got drunk after the flood! Paul had to
rebuke Peter one time and for good reason, Gal. 2:11-16. Moses didn't enter the promise land,
thats true! Paul was obviously going threw a hard time when he wrote the last part of
Romans chapter 7. It's true that repentance is one of the biblical steps to salvation. It's also
true that repentance is a life style for the Christian. Only Jesus was perfect!! But to let folks
think that the way to Heaven is easy is misleading! Narrow is the way! Most American's are
convinced that there on there way to Heaven!! We hear it all the time "if what your saying is
true most Americans are headed for Hell.." "Ya, thats why we are out here!" The prophetic
word for America right now is not "God has a better plan for you life!" The word of the Lord is
very simple "repent or perish!" God is good! He expects us to be good to! You can't live
wrong and die right!
4. I'm not talking about shooting our wounded here either.. Of course there is grace for the
person that makes a mistake, or for the fallen pastor, etc. Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man is
overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness,
considering yourself lest you also be tempted. NKJV
Every one that I mentioned above understood the love of God..They also were well versed in
the fear of the Lord..Jesus is the Lamb of God..He is also the Lion of the tribe of Judah! We
need to understand both in the right balance.

# 1 Danger for new street preacher!!
I got a phone call from a Baptist Street Preacher last night after I got home
from hitting a Astros game inviting me to team up next weekend for a large
event in San Antonio..Right from the beginning of the conversation Phill
told me "David I can't get folks to go with me...Everyone is scared to go.."
During the Final 4 Bill Adams told me pretty much the same thing..
I hit the Astros game with the Holy Ghost yesterday and didn't have anyone
to go with me.. (I get scared to!) I'm not saying that the people that I invited
to evangelize the game that declined were scared!! Everyone gets busy
with life thats normal..
The biggest mistake a new street preacher can make is digesting all of the
books and tapes, dvd's that are available with the game plan of going out
and hitting the streets ready to go.. All of the books in the world can't
prepare you for being on a street corner with 50 people walking towards
you.. Me and Nick were talking about this today.. I still get nervous when I
pop out my cam recorder on 2 police officers that want me off the streets..
I don't want to go to jail, and there is always the "stress test" that they put
you through..
Its better to digest the materials that are available while your growing in
experience..About 2 years ago the Lord put it on my heart to start inviting
people to come with me when I go out..Since then I usually have someone
with me if it's not to spontaneous. One thing I have learned from Lonnie
"the baptist" Pursifull is that time alone is golden!! Is it harder? Yes!! Ya its
not as fun going by your self, it can be a little lonely too.. The growth that
you get from targeting something alone is priceless! When the smoke
clears Ray Comfort will be the father of the street preaching movement.
Ray got to where he is by preaching alone..
I recommend starting out going with someone and getting your training
hands on as much as possible.. I have been accused of being addicted to
street ministry and there might be some truth to that..I love it! (The Lord has
used street ministry to carry me threw some very hard times) I like the
adventure of the whole thing! That doesn't mean that I'm fearless..I get
nervous! I'm not Larry Craft, or Lonnie,etc. BUT MY GOAL IS TO BE JUST
LIKE THEM!! I want my life to count for something!!
I have seen cell groups that went threw the "Way of the Master" materials
and everyone was fired up..3 months later leader and group are studying
something else..(There is not a ministry dearer to the Lord's heart than
evangelism) Hands on is crucial..If you have to go by your self go!
Target your fear!! When I hit something by my self I take the first 15 to 20
minutes getting a feel for things and shaking off the jitters..
Find a group in your area and just start going..Make sure its a group or
person that really can get you home safely.. If my friends at work invited
me to play tackle football on a weekend I would decline! As much as i would
like to play I wouldn't want to miss work with a injury.. Back yard football is
dangerous! Street preaching for the most part if you use common sense is
safe! It can look crazy! It can feel crazy at times..I have never missed a days
work from street ministry!! Fear is your # 1 enemy..
I spent a week with the Dream Center in Los Angeles years back and it was
some of the most hard-core street ministry that I have seen.. 7 days a week
they have teams that target the most dangerous areas in the city. One night
they took us to skid row to minister to the street people..The whole area
smelled like urine, 6" rats were walking around, and we shared the Gospel
with 2nd and 3rd generation of homeless people..I was nervous! 2 Christian
ladies led the team!! 60% percent of the (hard core) out-reach at the Dream
Center is led by women! Many go by themselves! This is happening today!!

Just watched Pat Robertson on CBN sharing about how much
momentum the homosexual movement has right now in America..
Pat thinks they will win America in time.. (We have no voice; battle's like
this are won and fought on the streets)
One of the bosses at Shell was talking with me on this topic and he was
aware of my ministry..He told me that he thought that in a short time
they will win America...I believe him!!
Currently America is at least 60% pro- gay!! I'm not saying 60% of
Americans are homosexual, I'm saying that at least 60% of Americans
favor the gay movement..Fox news is always saying there the minority
and if everyone that is Christian would just vote we would win..They
couldn't be more wrong on this subject!!
If the gay movement wins America will fall..
What about revival?? The promises of God are just like prophetic
words..There conditional!! I pray for revival..I love America..I'm deeply
concerned about the future of our Nation...If you truly love your
Christian liberties you need to be vocal about your Faith publicly!!
Maybe there is a "cause" right now thats more important than our
hobbies..
This is our watch!! We are responsible for what is lost during our
watch!! "We are praying." Faith with out works is dead!! Having prayer
and the Word of God removed from our schools will be nothing
compared to what were getting ready to lose..I don't like to be on the
losing side and were losing this battle by not getting involved..
Like John Maxwell always says "everything stands or falls on
leadership." Currently the leadership in the body of Christ barley has
the courage to publicly teach on this subject from a biblical stand
point..One of the major Gospel tract ministries ( I will not name them on
purpose) out there uses a dummy location to receive there mail so that
there main warehouse of tracts won't get destroyed..They have tracts
on this subject and they know they have to be care full.. Is there not a
cause..
"Ya, but David I don't like the way you do it." Thats fine I can handle
that..PLEASE get out and do something your way..Make sure its
biblical!! Please do something...I firmly believe if we mixed reading the
Bible with all of our prayer time it would greatly increase our chances of
revival.. If your praying 4 to 5 hours a day for revival cut that time in
half and spend the second half of your time in the Word..Example,
everyone loves teaching on Jeremiah 29:11 to Americans..What about
the context of the 52 chapters of the book..For a short cut to what I'm
talking about read the book of Lamentations it's only 5 chapters..I dare
you to read the book of Lamentations..Over and out..

We met today at the San Antonio Pride Fest. I was wearing a yellow shirt and we talked for a while about
your ministry. I'm not sure you'll remember.
Fist, I applaud you for being out there. I know that we disagree on things (perhaps many things), and I'm
thrilled that you posted a picture of John Wesley preaching on your Website. Being a Methodist myself, I
have to remind myself that Christian outreach is rarely done in a confines of a beautiful sanctuary. You're
braver than me to stand out there amongst those lease likely to receive you warmly. Perhaps that's
because you're much more physically intimidating than me, but I suspect it's more of a reflection of your
sincere devotion to your cause.
I enjoyed our chat, but something bothered me as I left today. It was the only thing that hurt my feelings
about what you said and preached. When I asked you if I'm am a Christian because I'm gay, you and your
friends, said, "No, that's an oxymoron."
Like you, I have to wrestle with my own sin and demons, and we might even disagree with that that means.
But what I hope that we can agree on is that someone who is a Christian - someone who accepts Jesus into
his life as his savior - does not shed his Christianity because he sins.
For the sake of argument, let's assume that all sin is equal - that everyone type of sinner listed on your sign
is equally as sinful as the next. That being said, I disagree that someone who tells a lie, or gets drunk
looses his Christianity until he repents. Perhaps that sinner looses his salvation until he repents, but I
don't believe he's no longer a Christian.
David, there are many Christians - folks who truly believe in and accept Jesus Christ - who commit sins,
even perhaps live in sin. That is what a community of faith is all about, journeying together to find a life as
close to Jesus Christ as possible. And, I suspect its part your ministry - getting the word out about sin and
encouraging people to 1) become a Christian, or 2) reaffirm their Christian faith by repenting from sin.
But as a fellow, imperfect Christian, it hurts to hear you tell me that I am not a Christian. I guess my point is,
we were both out there today talking to a group of people about Jesus Christ. I focused on his love and
you focused on the need to repent of sins. BOTH are true, and I was hurt by my fellow brother in Christ to
be told that I wasn't a Christian, when I am; it's just that we're in different places in our journeys.
I respect to the death your right to be out there today, and I admire your guts and passion for standing up
for what you believe. I just hope that, as you go forward in your ministry, that you won’t tell a professed
Christian that he/she isn’t Christian at all, but rather focus on telling that professed Christian how (in your
view) to better walk in the way of Christ.
I wish you well on your next mission, and for a safe trip back to Houston. David, I hope we found common
ground today, and I hope that each of us is moved in some way or another, by each other’s passion for
Christ.

police!! Because we didn't
have any letter's sent in to
the Chief of Police
informing them of our
rights we had to resort to
old school ways of doing
things.. I broke out my cam
recorder and informed
them that they can't legally
make us leave public
property, and told them
that we weren't leaving..

50 - 50..
We went into
prayer asking the
Lord for favor, and
to have the right
people in the right
place to grant us
victory..The Spirit
of God washed
over me and I
knew we would
win.. To God be

The cool thing
about using signs
is that they bring
folks to you..
We went out of our
way to be friendly
and to connect
with folks..
It was a very
mellow day other
than some mad girl
that side kicked my
homosexual sign..
Because the Lord
gave us Police
protection the
problem was
solved quickly..

held this corner for 4
hours.. From the start

3 cars and we had a big
stand off with them!! At first
they were cold and it seemed
that they took sides with our
hecklers.. If it wasn't for
Liberty Counsel sending in a
3 page letter to the mayor
and chief of police that I had
a copy of, we wouldn't have
finished the day.. Between
the video camera's and the
letter they changed there
tone!! Where God guides, He
provides!! To God be the
glory!! This ministry is about
Him..And for Him!! And we do
it with Him..
